“Kindness is like snow. It beautifies everything it covers.”

Kahlil Gibran

So grateful for all the beauty around us in the previous week as we were treated to a nice, thick, white blanket of snow!

It’s truly nature’s way of surprising us with beauty, light, abundance and kindness when we least expect it. I had forgotten about this because it seems like ages since we’ve been so generously spoiled with snow covered landscapes.

Snow brings with it a kind of magic. It has the power to transport us back to the happiest and purest moments of our childhood in an instant. Those first snowflakes falling down carry with them feelings of hope and happiness. Honestly, don’t you secretly wish for a soft, white carpet to cover your lawn even as soon as the weather forecast announces “snow tonight”? I know I do!

It’s no wonder snow features in poetry, literature and all arts countless times and is described with attributes like freedom, beauty, purity, innocence and so on. The mysterious softness and mesmerizing beauty of fresh snowflakes has the potential to bring a warm glow to the coolest hearts.

I felt so grateful for the beauty of the white landscape around our house and the feelings of pure joy it triggers.
